Job Description

A prestigious commercial real estate firm located in Deerfield, IL seeks an Event Coordinator to join their team! The Event Coordinator will be responsible for providing support to the office and facilitate collaboration with multiple departments. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual who is looking to further their career at a fantastic company. This role offers free lunch, drinks, and other great perks. This is a temporary opportunity beginning in October and ending in August of 2023, with the potential to transition into a permanent role. The compensation for this position is $17-20/hour commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities of the Event Coordinator:

  • Provide comprehensive support in a broad administrative capacity
  • Coordinate meetings, conference calls, catering requests
  • Compose various correspondence, documents, and reports
  • Prepare and process expense reports
  • Answer the main phone line and forward messages
  • Type and proofread interoffice memos and reports
  • Provide prompt response to tenant and vendor requests
  • Coordinate and oversee building tenant events
  • Maintain appropriate filing systems, both manual and electronic
  • Assist with special projects and additional administrative tasks as needed
Job Requirements

Requirements of the Event Coordinator:

  • 1-2 years of administrative experience within a corporate environment
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites
  • Professional and friendly demeanor
  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
  • Strong initiative and customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail is a must
