A growing law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its legal team. This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned litigation professional with a minimum of 7–10 years of experience who enjoys supporting complex matters and working closely with attorneys from case development through trial and arbitration. The salary range for this position is $90,000–$150,000. The Litigation Paralegal will be responsible for a variety of case-related functions, including discovery, legal documentation, court filings, research, trial preparation, and coordination with clients, witnesses, experts, opposing counsel, courts, and vendors. The ideal candidate will have substantial litigation experience, strong knowledge of federal and state court procedures, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment. This position requires flexibility to work additional hours and travel as needed. Key Responsibilities of the Litigation Paralegal:
- Provide support throughout the various stages of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, hearings, trial preparation, and arbitration.
- Manage case documents and discovery materials, including organizing files, coordinating document collection and production, maintaining databases, and assisting with e-discovery processes.
- Prepare and organize pleadings, exhibits, deposition materials, affidavits, privilege logs, correspondence, trial materials, and other documents for attorney review.
- Assist attorneys and witnesses with preparation for depositions, hearings, and trials, including coordinating exhibits, case materials, and other trial-related needs.
- Conduct factual and legal research, review and summarize deposition testimony, and compile information for attorneys.
- Handle electronic filings and related deadlines in federal and state courts, including use of CM/ECF and PACER, while following jurisdiction-specific filing and service requirements.
- Coordinate with attorneys, clients, courts, witnesses, experts, opposing counsel, co-counsel, vendors, and other outside contacts to keep matters organized and on schedule.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive case information.
- Take ownership of additional projects and responsibilities as needed to support the litigation team.
