Job Description

A private equity firm is looking for a sharp and multifaceted Office Manager for their downtown Chicago office. The Office Manager will serve as the ambassador of the company and provide administrative and reception support for the office as a whole. This is a wonderful opportunity for a professional and personable individual looking to join a great team! The salary for this role is $40-45k.

 

Responsibilities of the Office Manager:

  • Greet all visitors and guests in a friendly and professional manner
  • Screen and direct incoming calls efficiently, and take messages
  • Assist administrative team with coordinating travel, managing calendars, and preparing expense reports
  • Receive all mail, packages, and deliveries; distribute to the appropriate parties
  • Maintain a clean, efficient and functional office environment
  • Manage conference room calendars and schedule events/meetings
  • Order office and kitchen supplies and review all vendor contracts and services to reduce excessive overhead
  • Assist with ordering anniversary gifts and planning company events
  • Run miscellaneous errands for the office and other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements

Requirements of the Office Manager:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of corporate administrative experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • High level of initiative and a positive attitude
  • Ability to respond effectively and with high urgency to questions, sensitive issues and/or complaints
  • Exceptionally organized and attentive to details
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
